cows

There are cows in Burlington. Other cities have done the same, or similar sort of street art projects. Usually an animal. I think Chicago did pigs? But anyway, Church Street is bedecked with many brightly painted cow statues at the moment. We haven't been downtown since they appeared, so today seemed like a good day to go check them out. We only hit lower Church Street because we had to head home due to a...diaper situation, so here are just a few of our faves...

This last one irritated me a bit. It's a cow that they made into a race car. They even cut out a little place to sit, with a steering wheel and everything. Sam was immediately drawn to it, and I was thinking what a great little pic it would make, when I read the sign. Poor Sam. We named this cow The Toddler Torture Cow...

And Sam actually took a few pictures himself! Check out his flickr in the upper right.

Chicago, Cows 1999... Leave it to VT to be better late than never :)

Even Grand Rapids, my town in West Michigan had fish in, like 2002.

Oh, Vermont.
