I think every household has a big ol' crate of clementines right about now. Due to diaper rash alert, they don't really get eaten as quickly as I would like. So what to do...
Finally, a craft project that held Sam's attention for more that 20 seconds! There is something satifying about pushing that clove through the peel. And orange oil and clove make for a heavenly aroma. We made about 7 of these guys.
The garland wasn't as big of a hit with Sam, but he helped for a little bit.
Clementine slices dried in the oven, cranberries and cinnamon sticks. Turned out very pretty
My house smells yummy.
Shopping Note: If you want to try making the ornaments and need to buy whole cloves, be aware that I first picked up a McCormicks bottle from the spice section and they were $13! I then went to the International aisle and found the same amount from Badia for $1.56. They are probably available at most whole food stores for cheap too. Not sure why McCormicks is charging so much...kinda fishy

Okay, I need to go back and start reading forward. Clementines, not tangerines. That must smell amazing!
