Magic.

We just completed our requisite "January Thaw." It can get pretty ugly when the snow melts, leaving bits of trash and cigarettes butts in soggy puddles. It was nice, however, to be able to walk around without too much bundling. And yesterday the boys and I went on a urban hike. We stopped at the little playground on South Champlain. It's a cheery place. Kinda. I mean, it's next to a burned out building and there are beer bottles strewn about, but the vibrant mural makes up for any shadiness. The warmth in the air had me wanting to strap on some roller skates and go all Xanandu on that wall. To emerge in Spring, however, not some weird sparkly Tron-like void.
