Cranky...I hope it wasn't the pants.

Today I've been running around like crazy trying to get my stuff together for my trip to DC. I'm going to a baby shower for my friend Jess, but also bringing Sam to visit Grandma and Grandpa. I'm looking so forward to it, but with J gone on business, the preparations are a little hectic. Every moment Sam closes his eyes I run. Run to the bedroom and grab laundry. Run to the closet to find my suitcase. Run to the kitchen and do some dishes. Making lists and crossing things off. It's really not that big of a trip, but Sam hasn't allowed me to do much but console and hold him the past few days. He's been crazy cranky. Luckily, his mood is vastly improved today so he was able to just hang out with me while I sorted the laundry. I finally got out to the bank and the Post Office, two things I've been trying to do for a few days now. Of course I wait until it's 7 degrees outside. Brrrr.

I actually just got back and I am taking advantage of the car ride induced coma to do this blog post. I really should be packing. I hope I can get everything to fit. I'm bringing my small suitcase since it's the easiest to roll. I think I've got more Sam clothes to pack than mine. Of course I don't pee and puke on my clothes requiring a constant wardrobe change like some people.

I hope this baby shower is a casual affair. None of my fancy pants fit me yet. I can dress up a pair of jeans I think...

Speaking of fancy pants, Sam wore his Crankypants to the birth class reunion on Sunday. Aren't they cute!

J's sister Amy knits them and has quite a little operation going. I'll have to put my name on the waiting list and get me some more!
