Now that the renovation is over, I’m not sure what to do with this blog. Frankly, I doubt many of you check it anymore, since I haven’t posted anything for AGES. I do plan to put up a few more pics once our interior decorating is complete…but that seems a long way off. So, without any more exciting notions coming to mind, I suppose I will use this space to let you know what’s going on.

What’s going on….

Hmmm. My folks are coming to visit this weekend. They will get to see the shiny new upstairs first hand! Still haven’t thought of anything super fun to do. Hopefully we will have nice weather. As I’m sure most of you have seen, it’s been, well….a little rainy around here. Rivers and streams are jumping their banks and washing out docks and roads. And apparently there must some pumpkin patches upstream that got flooded, because the river’s full of ‘em! I feel kinda silly having bought one for $12 when I could have just walked down there and grabbed one…though it would kinda feel like profiting from someones else’s misfortune.

Well, moral dilemmas aside, I successfully carved my $12 pumpkin for Thursday nights football game. It took a little while, but turned out pretty good (if I do say so myself). I’m afraid to put it outside...can't trust those neighborhood hooligans (also know as 6th graders).

Will post more soon. Happy Halloween and Go Hokies!
